Great capture Danny. I have tried several times to shoot both red and yellow roses with limited success. You succeded in this shot. The darker back petals give a soft feel to the transition from the black background to the center of the rose. The green perimeter is a nice touch.

Beautiful red rose with lots of great details. I don't know if it's your intent, but some of the petals on the right look oversaturated and lacking in detail.
