Since the reptiles & invertebrates are no longer out, I figured I would try my hand at birds. I'm not normally good at getting close to birds in general, so I was pleased to capture this. This was taken at a water reclamation area that has been designed to encourage birds & wildlife to inhabit the area. Comments & critiques are welcome!

really a nice looking image, Tonia. Love the composition and the mesquite habitat. reminds me of a Rich Ditch image, which is a real compliment. the brightest whites on the belly are blown--can you get them back in raw?

Brian, I will have to go back to the RAW file and see if I can't tone down those whites a bit. I'm starting to wonder if I should invest in a monitor calibration system! Thank you for the compliment as well, though I don't think I can live up to those standards yet!

I like the overall setting and comp Tonia, good details & colors on the bird too.
Hard to close with the small songbirds, I agree..
