Deep in the Gorges du Doubs on the Franco-Swiss border I found this clump of beech seedlings with some fallen beech leaves for added colour...

This is a very pleasing arrangement of a forest floor scene, Julian. It sure does pay to look down sometimes.

This looks like wallpaper with it's even light and repeating colors. It's very abstract in this regard and I love it.

I love the colors and the textures of the grass and many different leaves. Thank you for sharing.

Julian,

I really like this intimate scene you've captured. Great detail and wonderful arrangement and combination of elements. I also like the story and juxtaposition of decaying autumn leaves with what appears like spring greens. Great eye.

Only a couple of minor thoughts/suggestions. To tighten and simplify even more I might consider a square crop from the top. Also, this is another image that would be a great candidate for TK's Lights Triple Play in reducing the brightness of the brighter leaves while retaining and increasing apparent detail. Just some thoughts.

Excellent Julian, nice to see this image.

cool image. on my monitor the greens are a little bit irridescent and the blacks have a slight tinge to them it seems to need a little bit of a magenta tweak to neutralise the greens in the shadow areas. Love the colours and patterns though.
