After several attempts at trying to find these guys, I found what I think is a decent image of a pretty difficult bird to find in the boreal forest of N.Vermont. The day started off with loads of sun but fell under late afternoon cloud when I met up with this jay.

Congrats on your find. A good photo of a bird I've never seen, and may not ever. The background and upward angle keep it off the A-list, but a keeper nonetheless.

You've got really nice detail in the underbelly of this bird. Nice handling of the exposure with that cloudy sky and good job with the flash. Very natural.

I think the LP looks great Charles. Very good details and the colors look nice in spite of the gray day..

I think you've done very well under these conditions Chuck. Sharpness and detail on the jay look good and the setting is typical of the species. The strong catch light really helps here. Perhaps a little tight on the tail...
