Looking Out

An abstract view out my window this evening. The weather today in the Pacific Northwest has been windy, cold and wet and my goal was to capture that feeling in the image.

This is a hand held image, 4 sec at f/22, ISO 1600 on a Nikon D7000 and 50mm lens. I did a slight vertical pan during the exposure. There are trees in the background and water droplets on the window a about a foot from the lens. I focused on the water droplets and let the background go OOF. The grainy look is intentional.

This is kind of an experimental image for me so any feedback you have would be much appreciated. I would really like to know if it "works" for you. Thanks for taking a look. Larger version provided.

Scott, I'm not sure about this one ... I like the black and white treatment. I like the idea. Perhaps using a tripod would give you more control; maybe a slightly shorter time interval. Keep 'em coming. The idea has possibilities.

Regards,

Carol

Hi, Scott. Along the lines of Carol's comments, I think just slightly less abstract would really work for me.

Lots of nice moodiness going on in this image. Very nice.
