So after the topic on the discussion forum I am going to try and post more. Here is one from Richmond Park during October. I was distracted by a large group of Reed Buntings in the bracken and so spent about an hour trying to get a decent image. This is the best one.

Techs:
Nikon D300s
Nikon 200-400
Handheld
F5.6
1/400s
ISO 400

Hi Oscar,

I find the oof bracken in the foreground slightly distracting, but there's probably not a lot you could have done about it. Otherwise a nice sharp shot and a good pose from the bird! :wavey:

Hi Oscar after the discussion on the forum I will also try to post and comment more.

nice bunting but I would take out the distracting fern leaf tip to the right of the bird

The green bracken and background set her off nicely, well taken Oscar.

Hello Oscar.

Love the setting and some nice light on the Bunting.

Only comment might be to clone out the light brown bit of bracken just in front of the bird head.

Lovely fluffed up bunting. Looks a little soft round the head to me though - possibly due to being handheld?

Lovely shot, I really like all the bracken, I think it sets the bird off nicely. Good comp and nice light.

Great shot Oscar, good composition and an interesting perch  . Only nit for me is that the head lacks sharpness.
