Love the pose with the little yellow rump. I've tried to get both the face and the rump and haven't been successful. This is a tough one to get and you've done a great job of it. Beautiful background also.

I like the lead in Angela, and that lil' patch a yellow marks the spot
Great BG, colors, detail, DOF, and this comp works fine IMO - Well done :wavey:

Great image. The detail, dof color of the bird are perfect. The perch and the background really add tot he image. I like the way the yellow stands out from the more drab colors.

Angela, the setting and colors here are really nice, as is the pose. your dof worked very well. the strong lines and comp really make the image for me. there does appear to be a very thin sharpening halo around the bill.

Thats a smart little bird and a good shot of it too. I think you have some good options re the comp, I think it would work well in portrait too.

Well titled and nicely captured. Bird is nicely sharp and I like the mottled bg with the blue peeking through. I would like to see this as a portrait comp, too. Good BUTT shot! Sharon

Great view of the rump and excellent eye contact Angela, I might crop a little bit off the left to make this more of a vertical. :toast:

I too like the over the shoulder look. Very nice detail in the larger version and I think the square crop works well with the diagonal perch.
