Larches and an Alp

At the far end of the Sertigtal, near Davos in eastern Switzerland, the road stops and high alpine pasture abruptly changes to larch forest and then, as you ascend, bare scree slopes. This shows that transition. Sadly, the weather was really awful (for photography ) so I had to make the best of a clear blue sky.....

Postcard perfect, Julian. Strikingly good scene. I like the fact that there is just a small amount of sky to contrast with the larches.

Love the luminance of the light and your nice composition with the 210mm. A gorgeous image considering the "awful" day.

Julian, this is really good! I love the golden larches in the foreground and the pure blue sky. Nice work!
