I was photographing along the virgin river in Zion. A deer walked over and drink water right in front of me. I guess I looked harmless to the deer.

John, you have taken full advantage of being in the right place at the right time! The colors in the water IMHO make this image. Would like to have seen the techs of the photo. TFS.

I agree that the colors really brings this to life.
If it would have been possible to get a little lower POV without scaring the animal and keeping the reflection of the colors in the water, I think the image would have improved further.

This is very special John; both the amazing encounter as the image! The reflected colors in the stream add so much and I like the diagonal composition. I agree a lower angle could have been cool too, but this angle works very well.

Thanks, John, Soubhik, Johan, Vincent. Regarding view point, I can't go any lower because there is a drop from where I stood and the water. Also I only had 3 seconds to take the shoot.
