This image was made while I was still using film. The early morning light with the interesting clouds in the background caught my eye. I do wish I didn't clip the cactus skeleton's arm but it was difficult to isolate the cactus without catching other vegetation that was nearby.

Looks like a scarecrow! I like the minimalistic comp, not sure what is going on with the extreme right side, looks smudged, perhaps a result of the scan.

The clouds are indeed a nice backdrop. Zack noted the band on the right edge; definitely a good idea to track down what's causing that.

Darn it! I just noticed that smudge. I believe that is a result of the local photo store's scanning job. Maybe they can re-scan it for me...

Neat! Great subject--very cross-like. Im kind of curious how this would have looked with more context (the ground) but i like this as presented as well. :wavey:

The cross here makes a strong visual impression, and the cactus color contrasts nicely with the sky. Could easily crop off the smudge.
