Carolina Mantis

I saw this mantis while I was out watering my plants. It proved to be a very cooperative subject and I was able to catch a variety of poses. The yellow background is my wall and seemed to fit with the color of the mantis.

Wonderful mantis pose and good detail on the larger version. There is a small bright spot on the middle leg that I might be inclined to clone out, otherwise an excellent shot, well seen and well done.

I love these guys. This one does have a slightly different looking face than the ones in our area (SE Pa). I like how the black dot in their eyes are always following you. Great capture, Tonia.

Congrats on the EP!!!!! Great detail in the head and forelegs. Now just go find one and convince your boss to let you find the proper kVp and mAs for a mantis :).
