I had a good day yesterday with Aresenal's win over Chelsea and finding this on a back up drive

These two warthogs were having a male dominance moment in a waterhole in Savute Channel area of Chobe National Park, Botswana, 7th May 2010

EOS 1D MkIV

500mm F4 IS hand-held from open game viewing vehicle

F8, ISO 1600, 1/5000

Gotta' admit, I'd much rather be appreciating a fine image like this than watching footy on the box, but I'm happy for your double reason to celebrate Ken - LOL ;^)

Wonderful capture and lighting seems to have worked real well to your advantage!

If you don't look at the larger image IMHO you miss the real impact of this image. The warthog which is looking towards the camera makes this image really work well! Glad you were able to get it, nicely done. Who are Aresenal and Chelsea? Farm clubs for the NFL?

Nice action shot Ken; I love the fact that the eyes of both individuals are clearly visible. Excellent detail and clarity as well.
ISO 1600???

It was awfully nice of them to decide to battle in the water for you Ken, which seems to make this an unusual photo. Great action and behavior with nice details. Sweet Photo :toast:

Vincent,

"ISO 1600???" I have absolutely no idea what happened here, but it certainly gave a fast shutter speed and I presume because it was a nice sunny day very little noise.

Ken A

The high iso in daylight certainly gave you the speed to stop the action. I really like the frozen water droplets and the detail of those curving tusks.

Ken, you caught some good action in this shot! I like the fact you can see the catch-light in the warthog's eye.
