Afternoon Walk

MY only chance at the fall colors this year was this afternoon hike in For-Mar Nature Preserve in Michigan.

Canon 7D with tripod,.6 sec, f/16, ISO 400, used a split ND filter in upper left corner to prevent the sun from overexposing the corner.

Beautiful fall scene. The backlit color is excellent and the sun star certainly adds to the scene. Well seek/executed.

I really like this scene. The colours are stunning. You've done an excellent job balancing the exposure with the sunlit and shaded spaces. The tree on the right has character and is nicely balanced by the sun and the bench on the left. It really conveys the feeling of fall.

I definitely like the image as is but I'd be tempted to also try a lower angle of view. I also find the forked branch that is sticking up in the center foreground to be a distraction.

Nice for a number of reasons. Of course the wonderful fall color but I like the view into the distance for it's opening of the canopy. Very nice overall image.

Love the colour range here and the star burst sun. Not so fond of the branch sticking up. but that's my only nit.
