Traigh Mhor, Isle of Lewis, Scotland

The conditions were forever changing on this magical evening of light when I was swept away into the beauty of this landscape. This image has a very different mood than my last post Celtic Sunset from this incredible beach which is now my favorite.

Canon 5DM2
Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L at 30mm
ISO100 1sec f/11
ND Gradient

Thanks for having a look and for your comments and critiques.

Really like the layers of clouds and the sky. Nice light throughout. You did a great job with the gradient.

Eva, the variety of pastel colors in this image is simply amazing. I also like the visual flow following the bright wave in the LR to the horizon and then wandering through the sky.

Fun comparison Eva. I prefer the comp and lighting in the first, but this is very nice too.

hi Eva,
nice example of the glow-after-the-sunset light. The warm colours in the high clouds in the middle of the sky is a nice plus. I have to small suggestions that I would implement if this were mine:
- I would selectively darken a bit the right corner of visible sky just above the horizon: it is too bright compared to the rest of the scene and is grabbing a lot of my attention
- The horizon is a bit tilted anti-clockwise

I love the warm area of lit sky, ringed by clouds, and the light playing over the ocean surface.

Eva, I feel the sense of power and dynamics in your composition. Perfect exposure and exciting, natural colors in my opinion. You also present the flow in the foreground in a unique way to me.

Love the pastel colors, Eva, and the nice subtle luminance on the water. I'll bet you could make one image after another during this evening with that constantly changing light, and they all would be unique. Definitely a more subtle mood than 'Celtic Sunset' but still incredible.
