Merlin

This juvenile Merlin was blazing fast - so much so that I had to add some canvas (and some bird) to this image. I won't say where - hopefully I did a passable job and you won't be able to tell.

Nikon D300s 300 f4 HH
f/6.3
1/1600
ISO 400

Cropped to 50%, some canvas work in CS5 on 27" iMac

Nice Merlin image. Despite careful inspection I can't make out your handiwork, so I think the job was a bit more than passable. Well done.

Splendid capture Luke! Although your handiwork is seamless to my eye, as a picture I'd prefer this with some of the vacant area on the right was sliced off, making for more of a rectangular frame. This is not so much a "nit" as me simply stating a personal preference for a more traditional rectangular format ;^)

Great pose and eye contact. Can't tell at all where the cloning was - the likely suspects of tail/wingtips all look fine to me.
I'm fine with the comp too - nice catch!

Very nice head turn, light and overall flight posture. I'm not seeing a lot of detail but that's understandable given the speed of the bird and the difficulty of the shot.
