Rain Ripples in the Sand

In 2007 White Sands had some very heavy rains. I found the patterns created by those rains, not yet blown, were beautiful. I converted this to black and white using Nik's Silver Efex Pro. Taken in December in late afternoon.

Interesting landscape, very other-worldly! I think i would like this better brighter--since the trademark of White Sands is its bright whiteness. Also, the top seems just a bit tight. Otherwise--very cool!
BTW--i always comment on the five posts right before mine--its a good way to ensure that i comment on everyone's photos, the ones i like, the ones i don't care for as much, sometimes the toughest ones to comment on--there's no escaping them using the 5-1 comment to post suggestion!

Wonderful abstract Margaret and I like the B&W conversion. I think it would be a strong abstract with the dune portion cropped but that is just me.

Interesting. I thought the background was clouds in the thumb. The whites seem pretty grayed down here. Could see increasing contrast to pull these higher or even going with a high-key image, at least in the foreground.
