Smell of Autumn

The mixture of scents first drew my attention when I came to this place, rambling through the Danube Floodplains last week. There was the smell of humid earth, decaying wood and last blossom. This image should be an attempt to visualize this experience.

I like the digonals formed by the various branches and the tree trunk, but it feels a little busy to me. The processing looks good.

Lovely vibrant color Peter. I think the crossing branches ans trunks add order to the scene.

Peter, I love everything about this. The colors are beautiful, the light is wonderful, and it's so very real.

What a great composition in a VERY tough environment. You've managed to remove the "busy" out of a chaotic scene IMO. Wonderful image.

This actually still seems busy and chaotic to me, though there are area (crossed sticks, purple flowers) that help to give the eyes a rest. This does feel very "real" and the strong saturation makes it a bit hype-real, which I like.

A different autumn image. Not easy to compose this one but you did a good job. It's a chaotic scene but you managed to remove it a bit....but still it is a bit busy but i like it and I think it works well.

This is a bit busy Peter, but you did make it work as others have mentioned. I think you are very good at taking these busy scene and making them appealing. The pink flowers add a very nice touch.

I really like your inclusion of the purple blossoms in this sea of green. Well done.
