Otter

....with Salmon head.

When I took this shot, the Salmon farmers had been busy emptying their floating fisheries and I suspect this was the remains of a dead salmon that was disgarded and then eaten by a Seal.

As I watched the otter, he suddenly appeared after a dive with this huge head. He then made off with it to the other side of the bay to where I was hiding.

A quick low level dash across with the beach, trying to keep out of sight (not easy with a 500 and tripod!) and a slow creep into position allowed me to watch the Otter feed and get this shot before he dragged his prize away to avoid the seagulls & Bonxies who were moving in.

A fantastic experience and you've captured it very well. I love the look of determination on the otter's face.

I envy you the experience, and the photo. If possible, a little more detail burned into the face of the fish would be good, but I am being really nitpicking I know.
