He's taking a sneak peek at that long lens. Intense stare by this handsome goshawk. :toast:

Hey Sandy, I love your work, and have been to check out nature's majesty imaging. Your photos are always so impeccably done. I look at them to learn and draw inspiration. :toast:

Sandy, your are proof that it is who is behind the viewfinder and not what the equipment is being used. Beautiful. And I second what Mark said about learning from your images and comments.

The intense look of the red eye really makes the image for me Sandy. Wonderful color and detail in the feathers too.

For all the pleasure you're work has given us, I really think it's high time the NPN members pooled together and got you a 500mm of your own Sandy, I'd spring for a whole one myself but my wife would murder me for even mentioning spending more on camera equipment, let alone for somebody else - LOL ;^)

Seriously, another wonderful shot, love the over-the-shoulder look as well as the marvelous contact on that wonderfully red eye :^)

Thanks, Ashley, but I have had a 500 VR for several years. In the first goshawk image, I explained that I was using a borrowed Canon and 500 since I had forgotten my packet of extra batteries and my Nikon croaked.
