Bearded reedlings are amazing birds. Very acrobatic and quick as lightning. I was very pleased to finally get this shot after 4 months of effort.

iso 400 1/2000 sec. f/4 Nikon D3s and Nikon 500/4 full frame

Hi Ed, always a joy to see your images, thought you had exhausted the possibilities with these little fellows, obviously not, a real belter of an image. Looks like you weren't in the water with this one. Will wait to see it in the Telegraph again.

Love it Ed. :toast:

I'm just glad I don't have to do that when I want a drink. Terrific shot, Edwin.

Edwin, meant to ask, if you are over will you be attending the Veolia Wildlife awards or the Wildphotos seminar?

Drop me a line if it's the first part.

From the thumbnail it's hard to see what one can expect, so this IS a surprise indeed  What a great shot - I like everything about it ! Very, very much impressed - both by the bird as by the photographer that is  Well done ! Cheers, Hans
