Lake Bull

Ran into this bull sparring with a smaller one yesterday. I wasn't able to get any great action shots between the two rutting males (thanks once again to my nemesis, tall oof fg grass), but I think I walked away with a couple of decent captures.

As always, comments & suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Great action and look to the moose. The habitat really adds to the image. Great colors.

Guy,

I like the pose of the bull, the eye contact and most definitely the setting. I may have used a touch of positive ev compensation to bring out more details in the darker sections of the moose. Love the fall colors

Might perhaps do a tad more shadow recovery on the moose if it were mine...

At least here you managed to get rid of that obstacle Guy. I like the colors and the forward moving pose with that head turn. He seems relaxed yet is very aware of you. I am not sure if shadow retrieval will help. On my screen there is detail, which will be even more evident on a larger image.

Nice position you caught this guy in. Also like the fall colors. It looks like he was considering if you were a worthy opponent! As mentioned could use just a bit more detail in the body, but moose do suck up light. Thanks for sharing.
