Sunset Along the Pembina

This is the Pembina River in the Pembina Valley Provincial Park about a half hour from home. I still have a lot of learning to do with blending, but here's a shot at it. This is two exposures blended with a combination of the Blend If sliders in CS5 and manual blending using a layer mask. I also made a Curves adjustment to improve the contrast.

D300s, 18-70mm@18mm

ISO 200
f/9

Your honest opinions are much appreciated!

I don't feel qualified to speak to the blending as I still haven't played around with it much, but my overall impression is that it is a bit too dark in the fg. The light is beautiful and there are some good colors in the clouds (nicely reflected in the water).
