Dynamical Evening

Thank you to those who commented on my last, rather unconventional post. This is a shot from a particularly memorable evening in Glacier National Park back in early August. It was rather difficult to get to this location just above the Going to the Sun Road on Haystack Creek not due to any entailed climbing, but due to road construction--we had to walk a fair ways on the road itself to get to this location. While I enjoy climbing, hiking, etc., walking along a mountain road in the dark with impatient drivers speeding by is not my forte, however, I'm glad I endured it to capture this image.

I realize that the upper middle portion of the left side is dark, but I didn't notice this until post capture. All comments, critiques, and opinions appreciated; please view large.

I like this one Jon. The dark parts are okay, but you may want to work on the brightest parts of the clouds. All in all - very nice work. This place is on my bucket list and now that we're closer, just might make it.

What a wonderful location. I like the way you composed this, setting up the waterfall as an important but not dominant part of the scene, as the surroundings certainly deserve a role as well. The distant light on the peaks is a nice touch as well. I think some of the darker tones are perhaps too dark and could use a bit of selective dodging.
