Glacier Gorge

This is another shot from the Rosenlaui Glacier Gorge in Switzerland. This spectacular waterfall is almost at the end of the gorge.

I protected my camera and lens with a plastic bag and an umbrella from the water between shots.

Techs:Nikon D700, 16-35mm lens (@16mm), ISO 200, f 13, 1 sec, polarizer

Thanks for any comments and thoughts.

This is pretty sweet Bill. I like the sweeping, angular composition and the rocks add a graphic element that I find appealing. Rocks and water.....my two favorite subjects.

The lighting of this image really appeals to me. The image over all is great, but the lighting adds the extra punch. Fine image.

Dynamic range and motion...Lots of variety in brightness...done well. Then I can feel my feet beginning to slip...goin' down. Details of those rugged rocks were captured well...And the colors in the gravel are nice.

I like this Bill, nice flow in the water and the sheen from the light on the gorge looks great.

What a cool shot R. Bill. You have really place the viewer within this gorge. I love everything from the water texture all the way up to the shaft of light.
Nice job
The large version really shows the fine streams of water falling, neat.

This is a great shot Bill. I especially enjoy the large version here. As Anthony mentioned this really puts you right there in the gorge. I love the light.

Pretty good gorge shot Bill! The light from the top combined with the water that seems to be raining down looks great.

I can definitely feel the power of the rushing water with this shot, Bill. The lighting really adds a lot to this as well. It may be an optical illusion but it does feel as if it is tilted toward the right. Really enjoyable shot.

Very nice. I love that rush of color (water) in the fg and the falling light in the bg,

High risk, high gain...Great shot. Excellent shadow detail with all that light beaming in the background.

Excellent comp and exposure. It does look very wet in there.

Love the composition. Definitely makes me feel soaked with mist. Kind of hard to get a sense of scale. Is this a view from above a large gorge or from right down at water level?

Bill, this is a fascinating image for me. The forces of nature seem amazingly concentrated in your shot. A consistent composition and fine processing to me.

Thanks for all your feedback.
@ Daniel Rappaport. This is a shot from a little bit above water level.
