WC503 Sparrow on Tulips

I have specialized in avian photography for years and then expanded my interest with florals a couple of years ago. Having my interest and experience in both I thought I would post this favorite of a White Crowned Sparrow shot at the local Tulip festival I was shooting. I like Sandy's original challenge of "crossing over to the other side," if this dual cross combo is not acceptable by Sandy or the moderator, please feel free to remove it.

Awesome timing and capture! He's even singing. Might be tempted to eliminate the red oof tulips on each side, but they do balance each other. :wavey:

Craig:
This is beautiful. You are sitting on the fence with this challenge, a picture with both flower and bird.

Craig:
I love the combination - with the vivid colors, terrific detail on the bird, singing pose, and nice dof.

Very colorfuful. It looks like it belongs in Birds and Blooms Magazine. I faced a similar dilemma and considered using a flower and hummingbird. Your image is much more original. Applause. Nice dof. Nice exposure.

Craig, If they remove yours then mine goes too. Pretty capture of both!

What a lovely photo of this bird. The red tulips are out of focus so as not to distract from the main image, yet they add interest by discreetly filling in some of the background.

I think your "dual cross combo" is cool Craig, love the "explosion" of color that frames the bird..
Along with the WC's singin' pose, a match made in heaven
Well done!
