White-throated Treecreeper
Sorry for not contributing or commenting for ages but life's been hectic and I haven't had a camera in my hands since July. Lou and I have long service leave and we're off to South East Asia for 11 weeks. Ashley Vincent is very generously giving us his time and expertise for a week around Bangkok/Pattaya and we'll also be in Malaysia, Laos and Vietnam. Hopefully a few trogon, broadbill, pitta etc etc shots for future posting.
This treecreeper was ripping apart an old flower spike of an Austral Grass-tree.

cheers
Rob

Good to see you back Rob. I was wondering where you went to. A great image with a nice comp. Love the perch plant and BG to go along with this wonderful bird.

Brilliant detail in this one Ron ... though I'm now having second thoughts about introducing you to some of our species down here; if you gonna' end up taking photos of this quality and putting mine to shame, well, I just ain't coming out to play with you ;^p

Seriously, this is a stella shot and can hardly wait to show you around my neck of the woods, talk with you soon as all the best to you and Lou :^)
