Black-crowned Night Hero

Another from "The Brig". Found a group of these near one of the canals. Some were feeding, others were watching on, and some like this one were just waking up and watching the sun come up.
I like the light and habitat in this as much as the bird. :)

Really nice detail in the large image!
I love the habitat here - beautiful greens and browns that echo the BG perfectly.
Nice sharp bird - overall just a lovely image.

This is wonderful Sharon. Light and setting are strong points but I especially like the wistful look of the heron.

I like the setting and the wonderful morning light. The image is sharp, and there is plenty of room to see the heron within it's habitat. Well captured Sharon.

A really strong comp Sharon. Love the perch area and the BG to go with it. The bird is great with nice detail and the red eye draws my attention nicely. Well done.
