Pre-dawn at Wedge Pond

The alpen glow on Mount Kidd lasted just a couple of minutes before giving way to the rising sun. The trees surrounding Wedge Pond turned yellow in just a couple of days adding another interesting element to the scene.

Great capture...I like the comp a lot, and the color in those trees!

The scene is great. I like your composition, and the colors. However, I think that the log in the water in the foreground is rather distracting, as it seems to grow out of the reflected mountain peak, disturbing the symmetry.

Agree that the log maybe doesn't work, but the yellow trees on the far shore make for a nice demarcation in that part of the scene.

Really like the rich color and the detail in those trees, also the reflection comp, but I'll join the chorus saying that the log's gotta go.

Beautiful scene! Not sure of the log, or the bit of shoreline in the corner. :toast:
