Field Flicker

Here is another from my trip to Argentina. I had previously posted a flicker on the ground and someone had asked if they were ever perched in the trees. Well here is one off the ground.

Nikon D300s, 300 + 2XTC, ISO 200, F8, 1/500

I think you handled the light very well May, interesting perch and great detail/DOF.
I like the BG, comp, and this flicker's colors/markings R very cool

Really handsome bird May and I don't think you could have presented him with a better perch BG colors if you were painting on canvas. I like him a lot!

Very cool bird May. Love the comp and light on this shot. Very good job on the exposure. BG is great for this bird. I might run just a smidge of NR on the BG of the larger versions of this. Just a suggestion for a very nice image.
