Churring cisticola

Leastways, churring cisticola was what we made it after sitting with a field guide for 20 minutes while it called a few feet in front of us. I will be the first to admit that I find cisticolas difficult, so if any of you African birders think it is something else, feel free to say.

Taken in Mikumi National Park in Tanzania.

Thanks for looking.

Wonderful pose, perch and background. I can not help on the id but I like the picture, it looks like you had perfect lighting conditions, way to go.

To new at this to help you with id. Photo is a good one! The subtle background goes well with the birds colors and I like the non- typical perch he is sitting on.

This is very nice David. Wonderful singing pose, clean background with a pleasing color and IQ looks good. Nice comp also. The main thing I can think of that would improve it would be if the bird had been turned a bit more toward the viewer. Not a nit, just an observation.

Excellent image of this bird...a head turn toward you would have put it over the top. Nice comp and an interesting perch, too. Sharon
