Ice ripples wc502

Taken on a cold day. The tree had broken a large branch and ice had dripped down from the break to form icicles. To enhance the concept of ice ripples I have rotated the image from vertical to horizontal.

Canon XSi
1/250 @ F-8 ISO 200
Canon 55-250mm lens @ 250mm

Interesting. This is one of those images which looks like something that it is not. To me, this looks like the snout of a crocodile. You seem to have a little abstraction and a bit of reflection going on here. Now, icy reflections is something to think about with the onset of autumn. I guess this inspires me, anyway.

The rotation really works well here, congrats on recognizing that. The textures are luscious. I do wish that last icicle were in focus.

Great image. Looks like a floating mountain range. The horizontal presentation is perfect.
