Came upon this micro-landscape in December 2008 near the pier in Ventura, California.

Canon EOS 40D; ISO 100, f/4.5 @ i/125.

Ooooh, I like this Craig. Shadow, texture, patterns in the sand. If this doesn't have it all it certainly has alot. The whites look a bit bright but overall, fantastic image

I like the patterns and comp on this one. I would probably remove the brown and black objects in the sand.

Very nice! The feather and it's shadow are a good addition to the lovely pattern in the sand. This would also make a good "ripples" entry.
