Scissor-tailed Flycatcher
Tyrannus forficatus

This was captured the same day as my previous female post. This was the only good shot I was able to get of a male. Kinda boring perch and background, but I was happy to get a shot on a natural perch rather than a wire.

7D, 500mm f4L IS
1/250, f16, ISO 200
76% of full frame (13.8 of 18 mp)

All comments and critique very appreciated.
Thank You.

Gorgeous detail., Matt. Looks like good light and that's a nice head turn. I like the curve of the upper part of the perch.

Awesome bird on a really cooperative perch with good lighting. The angle is a touch steep but no big deal.

Nice job, cool species. You might be able to brighten a bit. I might try adjusting the WB a bit using the white of the bird's throat as it seems a bit warm.

Matt,
Sometimes you take what you're given. I like the natural perch as apposed to a wire perch but I'm not wild about the curve of it. The plain sky background works ok for me and the flycatcher is awesome. I'd sure take this Matt. Beautiful bird with a great head turn. Classic pose with good framing.

Wonderful job on the composition to get all the tail. I like the way the branch curls around in the frame and the head turn give good eye contact, nice job in getting this and the previous one, well done.
