WC 50 - Feather Afloat

... in Alaska (July 2011). I saw the feather floating past our boat and took a couple of shots with the camera/lens combination I was using for whale shots on this overcast/drippy morning. This is a large crop that highlights the water droplets. I used the spot removal tool in LR3 to remove a few of the distracting elements in the water.
D700, 300mm f/4 + 1.4x tc, 1/640 sec at f/8, ISO 2500. Handheld.

Water drops are always fun in that they provide pictures within a picture. Too bad there aren't more visual cues that this is afloat. I like it anyway.

Great shot , it would be nice to remove the things floating in the water in the bottom left. Beautiful detail on the feather!
