Quite impressive - like a beautiful painting. One minor nit - I might burn the highlights on the rock just a bit.

Aptly titled... this looks like a well thought out painting that took many hours to complete.

That is some special light, Kane. The red hue works here quite nicely.

Kane,
Simply glorious! With the warm, red hues my initial thought was this light is a result of a forest fire somewhere! Just beautiful lighting regardless. And to make this even better I think you've crafted a beautiful composition as well. My only suggestion goes beyond burning - the small bright rock/spot that's above the main rock is an eye magnet. I'd consider a clone or some selective treatment of that bright spot. Not an image killer by any stretch, but addressing that could take this wonderful image to even higher praise.
The light on the foreground is just as I would imagine it had I been standing there. Takes me right there.

Great job w/ the blend. Tough scene for sure. Great light and such you have going. I would like to see a bit more tension between the rock and sun as they are aligned on the left side of the image. Stepping right and panning back left would have that effect. Hopefully with still maintaining the cool tree effect you have going. Great take away

A very dramatic and impressive scene, Kane! The blend really paid off, preserving the detail in the sunset while still giving you all the detailed information in the foreground. A nice crisp shot also, despite the blending. I would love to see a larger version.

Wondrous light on a wondrous scene here Kane! Why the larger aperture here with a TSE lens? Assuming you didn't use any Tilt or Shift?

This is what it's all about Kane! Those magical moments of light bathing a scene you know you cannot stand and take in forever...so you capture the moment on camera to remember again later how it felt basking in it.

Pure magic! Isn't it incredible how the times we think nothing may happen so often turn out to be those special rare moments we make all of this insane effort for? Excellent work on the blend.

I love how the trees stand out against that haunting red glow. Perhaps a little too red overall for my taste (looks like a red filter was applied), but it does have its appeal. I think if you worked with the color a little you could get the greens on the trees to pop out a little compared to the reds, giving a little more color contrast. Just a thought, overall this is a lovely scene!

Really nice shot. The red color theme here is a winner too!
I too would do some selective burning on a few highlight areas particularly above the big rock where there is a smaller rock distracting a bit...

Kane, isn't it great when you're at a scene just at the right time? What a beautiful image you've made, it has that "magical" tone to it that I really go for. The only thing that beats it is the fact that you got to be there in person!

Other than Lon's suggestions about cloning out the white rock, I have no
suggestions for changes. I'm looking forward to your future postings.

This is very dramatic, Kane, and has a wonderful atmosphere. It looks as I would expect the light from a passing storm would look. I agree with Lon's suggestion about the eye magnet rock.
Very nicely done!

Pretty amazing light you have here and you handled it really well. I agree that a little more green in the trees would be a nice contrast to all the red but this is really nice either way!
