This had to be the spot where Jack Frost tripped and spilled his paint.

Canon 5d, 28-135mm, tripod, polarizer,

Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Clever use of the polarizer, Morris. Landscape instincts I guess  . Love the shapes and the autumn colors. Reminds me of winter lurking round the corner.

Very fine composition Morris. I also like the color and your dof decision. I might also consider a pano crop on this from both the top and the bottom but it would be more of an alternative than a suggestion. Outstanding photography for my tastes as posted.

Morris:
Looks like fall color has arrived. Very colorful composition. Even the ground cover looks good.

Great capture of some of the many different ways fall shows its beautiful colors. Nice triangle comp and detail. Not sure I'm ready for winter though which is what this signals is just around the corner.

This is real nice, Morris. If it were mine I'd probably add a vignette or otherwise selectively darken portions of the image to make the main subject really stand out, but it works well as presented.
