Beautiful combination of flower and BF. The light seems pretty strong and you held the detail and colors well. Was this a natural background? Your composition is great.

Thanks Charlie and Barb.
Charlie, the background was formed by chestnut trees; from there, the dark color. :wavey:

Very well done. The backlight really shows the veins in the butterfly.

What a difficult shot to make given the subtle tones of the insect. You did very well to preserve the structure in the wings. The background sets it off nicely.

Love how the strong directional light has lit-up the wings, the image really pops with the black BG too.
Great colors, details, and it's well composed Monica.
Beautiful work :toast:

The background really makes the butterfly and flower stand out. It's not always easy to spot the Brimstone in green foliage but it really looks good on this flower. I like the composition and there is good detail throughout. Graham
