Here's one from this spring. I made a few trips out there and didn't get very good conditions each time. On this evening things came together a bit better, but it was still a little windy.

Thanks for any comments and critique,

I love this shot! Your purple flowers are lit with such intensity that they look like they could be made of glass. Great use of the rule of thirds, even with a diagonal, it looks balanced. Wonderful texture!

Could you post the technical details for us? I am just curious.

Thank you for this wonderful post,
Jim Jackson :wavey:

Jesse, this is stunning. Truly a beautiful image, that clearly is a solid ROI. Your decisions in the field and in PP were/are frankly close to perfect...I sure can't see how to improve this! Just wonderful.

I join Jim in wondering about the techs, especially how you captured/controlled the dynamic range in this image.

If I can add something apart from the image, your logo is also wonderful. Very strong and very communicative.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Here are the technical:

Camera Canon EOS 5D Mark II
Exposure 0.033 sec (1/30)
Aperture f/14.0
Focal Length 18 mm

And another exposure for the sky which I can't recall at the moment. I blended 2 images basically. I'm still learning how to blend for dynamic range, and focus. I am making some progress though and doing a lot of experimenting. It's not as hard as people make sound actually, and Tony's luminosity masks simplify the process a lot once you get a handle on how they work...

Looks more like a painting then an image because it's hard to believe that's real. Sunburst takes this over the top (and I perrsonally enjoy the effect of the sun).

Very nice. I like how the sun is just kissing the horizon and providing that flare.
