Well taken. The position of the BF and grass stem makes the composition a bit problematic.

Very nice subject; I think that some more space all around would work better, and the complete perch (right hand side) would be a plus.

Detail looks a bit soft (perhaps due to the focus not being in the right spot) but the colors and pose are great. I prefer the second image you posted.

I also prefer the 2nd image. The wing tips still look a little soft but it's never easy getting the front of the lens perfectly parallel to the wings.
