Marmot Wrestling

There's a colony of Yellow-bellied Marmots on the north shore of Lake Yellowstone in YNP that are great entertainment as they are often squabbling and wrestling with each other. This is cropped mostly from left and right, it's about 75% of FF.

I like the triangle created by the bodies of the marmot in your composition Nate. Might want to see a bit more space on the left side for balance. Good focus on both heads, well done. I like the action too of course, the main feature! I have seen Hoary Marmot do this in Jasper, quite entertaining.

Nice capture of marmot behavior! To me the image seems just a bit too light. Thanks for sharing.

Love how you can see the teeth. That one certainly seems to want to strangle the other. The interaction is just great.

Cool and funny action shot Nate! The light is a bit harsh, but that is forgivable with great action.

Wonderful action, Nate. The twig jutting out on the left is a bit distracting, but the intensity of the fight keeps the eyes riveted on the subjects.

Love the interaction you captured Nate. I have a similar marmot shot but it is in the rocks, so never posted it. I like this one better with the open BG you managed to get. nice work!

Splendid image Nate! Really looks like the one on the right is doing his best to choke the life out of the one on the left. Hope they both came out of it in one piece and look back and laugh about this over a beer - or a nut - at some later stage ;^)
