So if you are one of the unlucky guys who live in the middle of nowhere (Ohio  ) and the nearest place that is somewhat photographically interesting is hundreds if not thousands miles away, what do you shoot?

You backyard .

Well, not exactly my backyard, but very very close.

That is pretty darn sweet. I almost want to see this shot wide and cropped square...has that feel to it. Nice work :)

This is a very simple image with a lot of impact. The tones and the mood are very nice and the exposure was handled nicely. I like the triangle formed by the three elements.

This is beautiful. If you can do this in your proverbial back yard, why leave home?

I'm a sucker for trees, Winter, mood, composition, and the "X" factor. I think this may have it all. I'm in a hotel downtown Chicago viewing this on a newer iPhone and it's a real treat to view.

This could only be made by someone in touch with their backyard. Really well done. What an imaginative shot.

Good job keeping your eyes open for the shot! I like that I can’t tell if this is B&W or not. I think it adds to the mystery.

Yiming,

Don't crop this! To my mind, the spatial relationships between the trees and the sun, and their position within the frame are one of the things that make this so intriguing.

Wonderful!
