Nikon D300, 50mm + 36mm ext tube, F/5, 1/25sec, ISO 200. Cable release, tripod.

Not the last rose of summer, but with cold weather coming in mid October.., I have to hurry to finish taking all my photos. Hope you enjoy the lines and colors of this rose. Comments appreciated.

Albert: Very nicely done. For some reason this feels a little better to me cropped just a bit from the top. Love the color palette and the V. >=))>

Great shapes and colors. Excellent abstract. I would concur with Bill's crop suggestion, but real fine as presented.

These kinds of soft images always allude me. I am envious. The only thing that bothers me is the dark lower left corner, just seems out of character with the rest of the image.

Albert, really like the POV. I agree with Bill a little crop from the top would really set off the inner glow of the yellow. You're so close now to the rose bushes I hope the thorns aren't puncturing your hide!

Beautiful subdued color palette Albert. I like this as posted but could also see Bill's crop suggestion. Very nice work...

Albert:
Still in the abstract mode! Has been a marvelous series with each one getting better than the previous. Like the color palette here.

BTW Congrats on passing the 5000 comments. :toast: Want to thank you for all your critiques on my images. Much appreciated.

Very nice abstract. I like this as posted. I could go either way on cropping from the top, but I think I agree with the previous suggestion to lighten the LLC.

This works for me, soft and warm with gentle curves.

Nice layers Albert. The soft tones of the FG elements work really well for me.

Nice to see you continue with your abstracts, Albert  - really like the V at the base which degenerates into nice two curves. Yellow Luminance looks nice too. Great Work
