While on a hike about 2 months ago, the weather was misty and rainy for the first 2 days...and it was only a 3 day hike. Lugging along your camera and tripod on top of your heavy hiking bag stops being fun during some point of such a trip

.
On the last day the sun came through nicely. We stopped by this waterfall en route to the finishing point and I liked the early morning light here. We had to climb on top of a large boulder to get a perspective on the pool at the bottom.

Russel, this is on the South African "Highveld" escarpment close to the famous Blyde River Canyon.
This is simply beautiful. The colors are rich, yet natural - right on the edge of keeping it real, which is right where I like to present my images. Such a refreshing location and I think you've captured that freshness beautifully.
The only suggestion I have, and this is minor, would be to try and pull some whiteness out of the main cloud. It's rather gray. Now it certainly may have been just that given whatever was happening with the sun and other clouds that we can't see, but visually just from what we can see, I'd like the clouds to contrast a little more with the lovely blue. But again, minor.
I'm really enjoying this landscape.

I will have a look at "whitening" the clouds some more
Forgot to answer Bill's initial question - I would estimate these falls are about 15-20 meters high...
