I'll not bug you with crams anymore till I get it right  - but I sincerely want to get it right. May be I'll make it a project for next year.

For now, I have Osteospermum Curls to show. This is a slightly wilted flower - else the curls won't form.

ND300s, AFS 60mm F/2.8 G Micronikkor, F/5, 1/640 Sec, Diffuser from the West, Gold Reflector on my lap from the North for the flower base, ISO200 and Handheld.

Thanks a lot for being patient and also your honest comments on Coreopsis and do let me know if this one appeals to you or not.

Ram, I like the curls a lot. Very unique comp. My only reservation is the whites to the left of the curls. They are so bright they keep pulling my eye from the main attraction.

That is a fair comment, Bob. Nothing much I could do about it given the lighting situation - just wanted to show an unusual perspective for the Osteospermum with those curls. I looked for this flower the next morning, it was no longer in a proper shape.

Ram:
Trust you to find all these beautiful curls in flowers. I like the curls a lot. I agree with Bob comment about the lighting but as you said, you make the most of what you are given.

I see you have started using your D300s for this shot. Have you retired the D200 or are you going to use it for home studio?

This is a winner! A lot to take in with the curls, and the yellow-tipped sepals which are sharp and defining for the eye. I like the pov of the curls. The unusual is always a delight to discover...see and share. Ken S

Over the top image for me Ram. Your artistic eye has come through again with this beautifully composed image. The curves, curls and lines both in and out of focus make this a very pleasing image. Thanks for posting it!

Beautiful image, Ram. The repetitive curve patterns in the foreground and background are captivating. Nice soft colors throughout. I too find the bright oof petal on the ULC a little distracting.

Ram: While I certainly like the capture what impresses me the most with this is the vision to see this comp. Beautiful curves and masterful management of plane of focus. Many kudos :toast: :toast:! >=))>

Absolutely stunning! Those curls draw me into the image and hold my interest totally. The rest of the composition could be bright red and I wouldn't even see it. WOW! :toast:
