Looks pretty cold! I like the shapes with the branches, but I think there is a bit too much to look at here. The branches lead to the sun nicely though. I think this could make an interesting black and white shot.

Ester,

Welcome to NPN and the Landscape/ESS Gallery. Very nice to have you here.

I also think you have a lot going on here. I like the idea of framing the scene with the two different trees, branches, but they're a bit overwhelming if you're just trying to frame the scene. The sunstar works well, but could be a little bit more prominent. I know those are tough trying to find the right position to get a good sunstar. I like the highlights on the lake, but that one pine branch is doing a pretty good job of blocking our view.

this just looks like a tough situation all the way around. Had you stepped in front of the trees, you're just dealing with a blank sky and hot sun, so I can appreciate this view anyway.

The only other suggestion I have would be to take care of the slanted horizon. Looks a little rotated ccw. You may also consider cropping the soil at the bottom just for the sake of simplifying the image.

Thanks for sharing and we look forward to your participation! Welcome!
