From last Saturday afternoon at low tide. I followed this one around for quite some time, and almost accidentally got this just as the bird was extracting the snack. Cropped about 75% for comp.

Really nice Bill. Love the worm action. Nice exposure and FG and BG too. Bird looks sharp, but a larger version would help with that assessment.

Beautiful soft colors, a stretched-out worm - who could ask for more?

I'd like to see a larger version, though.

The colors in this image are awesome, Bill. Great detail and the composition works great. The worm is a huge bonus. Superb image.

Nice capture of feeding action, Bill. Like the muted colors and soft light in the image. The square comp suits the image very well.

Bill,
Nice behavioral shot. Great lighting, catch light in the eye, and composition. Looks pretty sharp but hard to tell without a larger version to peek at. Good catch Bill.

Excellent shot of a young willet! Getting lower would take this over the top! :toast:

I like how the bird and the worm line up diagonally in the frame. I often see Willets feeding like this, nice shot Bill. :toast:
