The same flower as my previous post, but now a facial portrait.
I am trying to see the bat face, but find it rather difficult to see where the name came from.
Do you see any resemblance with a bat face?

Rich color Ellen and I think you've done a good job of taming the bg.
I suppose the white points are the bat's nose. Hmm... it looks a little more bat-like to me if i rotate it 180 degrees but that's still a stretch.

Hi Ellen, I see the bat face; that's for sure.
I'm overawed by the handling of the color red--it's gorgeous. In the larger image, the soft texture of the petals is very apparent.
I think this might even be more effective in a vertical format.
Regards,
Carol

Ellen, the bg compliments those ruby reds and the free shapes of the petals. Nice color combo. Don't know about the bat...

Surely do see the Bat there, Ellen. Love the textures on the petals and the super sharp water drops.

Ellen:
Gorgeous red and beautiful bg. I don't see the bat either just as I don't see mule's hoof on a fern.. the names for some plants can be quite obscure at times.

Ellen: Really cool subject and a fine capture. The drops are a nice plus element. Well done.>=))>
