I saw Mom and her first year cubs resting while visiting Katmai in Alaska. Nikon D300 F8 1/320 ISO 400 with Nikon 200-400 w/ 1.4 teleconverter.
Comments and critiques please
Thanks
Andrew

Great look at the cubs and all their eyes... the big tongue is a bonus. Good job of handling the DOF and getting a sharp image out of a low SS

Delightful - great family portrait!
Nice detail. Can't help but wish you could have taken 2 steps right to try to get mom's eyes ..
Cool image as is.

Beautiful family portrait! Excellent detail where needed... If the opportuntiy arose during your encounter I would have loved to see this shot portrait with a tight composition and maybe a tiny glance from mom being the missing ingredient - wishful thinking and all that

This is a very engaging image Andrew. I do echo the desires as expressed by James and Sandy, that would have made a good image even better.

Nicely done Andrew! Grizzly cubbies are hard to beat as subjects....they're so darn cute. Nice job with the DOF to get the whole family nice and sharp and great expressions on their faces. Only way to make it better is if mum had looked your way but that's like hitting the lotto sometimes.

Very nice shot. Those cubs look really cute stacked on each other like that. I would have cropped in a little tighter on left, top and right making the picture more squarish or vertical. Eliminating that space would have put more emphasis on the cubs and mom and given the shot more impact. But that is just my personal opinion.

This is SOOO cute! I like how one of the cubs is looking at you. It's nice and sharp, too. I like the way all three bears are doing something interesting.
