A.M. I was shooting from the top of a hill down toward the farmhouses and vineyards. I like this shot because I think the fog produced a dramatic atmosphere, and it's my favorite shot of my trip to Tuscany.

Blimey that's gorgeous loaded with atmosphere and utterly enchanting. I suspect it won't stay in this section for long though more than a slight hand of man present. Hope it gets the recognition it deserves though.

Before it gets moved to Man & Nature, I want to say that I love this one, Jay. Very good atmosphere, beautiful green, and nice comp. This is the location I always wanted to visit (been to some hill towns of Tuscany but never went to the countryside).

This is gorgeous, and it will still be gorgeous and people should still say so when it's in Man and Nature.

The fog adds some wonderful mood Jay. Reminds me of the morning fog in Napa and Sonoma. I like the comp as well. Beautiful work.

I know this exact spot. Captures the beauty of a morning in Tuscany wonderfully. Hope you enjoyed some Brunello.

Cool fog and scene. I am finding the lower farmhouse to be distracting, though. I like it cropped just above the big tree to the left of that farmhouse.

Great shot. There is such a nice sense of motion due to the vineyards between the two houses and while the fog obscures very little it adds a great sense of atmosphere.

Beautiful shot Jay, the mood you've captured is excellent. However I have to agree with Navin that it does look slightly oversharpened, at least on my display.

Exceptional! The fog, textures, perspective and colours all work perfectly together.
Congrats on the WP! (And does not look over-sharpoened from here - just differences in monitors, I suspect)

This sure caught my eye as I browsed through the forums awhile back. LOVE the comp and the light. It's a magical image, and one can easily see why it would be a favorite. There are some really neat patterns as well as splashes of irregularity of rythym that are very appealing to me. And as a photo of man in nature, it depicts the locale, and glimpses the culture so well.
Congratulations on the Pick for this wonderful image! :toast:

Holy cow, this is fabulous! The perspective, the greens and fog, the arrangement of buildings.  I don’t even mind the power lines!!  Very nice work here!
