The image was not the best, but I really liked the pose and the soft light. About a 79% crop for comp. Even at f8 it was difficult to find the right focus.

Don't sell it short. Its a fine image, with a great pose and perch; in focus where it counts.

I agree with Phil. The eyes seem pretty well in focus and the viwer is ultimately drawn towards them. The pose makes the image.

Bill:
This is a fine shot, the best of the your recent frog postings. The pose cannot be better and the bg is just sweet. If one is really picky, the eyes could be a little sharper but hey this is a terrific image as posted.

Nice pose and comp, Bill. A little USM on the eyes / snout would fix the focus just fine. That pose is a winner. :wavey:

I agree with the others on this one, Bill. It's a beautiful pose, and the image looks great overall. Selective sharpening of the eyes should be pretty easy... and then you are good to go. I love the simple composition and the dynamic nature of the pose.

So Kermit is a Tree Frog?

I love this shot - the pose and colors, but mostly because it brought a smile. Thanks for posting it! :toast:

Nailed it IMO. Eyes are in focus and that expression is priceless!

I like these kind of images because they are easy to critique. Great image. The comp., dof, and colors are all great.
